Product Overview

Rather than producing a roll for someone else to convert, the EM-PC900 makes the finished article: a honeycomb paper core sleeve that pulls open around a bottle or jar. It runs 50 to 100 g paper, forms sleeves from 200 mm to 900 mm long, and feeds 30 to 50 cores per group from the feeding box. Short sleeves are formed several at a time, so a 220 mm sleeve can be produced four to a cycle.

Manufacturing And Quality

The machine is built at our workshop in Ruian, Zhejiang. UDEM has issued CE attestations of conformity to Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC for our honeycomb paper making machine, bag making machine and paper folding machine, referencing EN ISO 12100:2010 and EN 60204-1:2018. A demo machine is kept running in the workshop so the build can be shown and installation supported by video call.

We have engineers who develop new machine functions to customer requirements, and where the current machine cannot meet a requirement we supply a solution instead. Several machines in this range started exactly that way.

Compared With Our Other Machines

The honeycomb paper machines make expandable roll stock that a packer wraps by hand. This machine makes the sleeve itself, so the packer only pulls it over the bottle. It is the smallest machine in the honeycomb range at 500 KG and 3 kW, and it is the only one rated in pieces per minute rather than metres per minute.

Use Guide

Load 30 to 50 cores into the feeding box as a group. Set the sleeve length; at 220 mm the machine forms four at a time and at 350 mm it forms two. Collect the finished sleeves flat and let the packer expand each one over the bottle at the point of use.
