Product Overview

The EM-PF500A perforates, folds and stacks kraft paper into fanfold packs for paperEZ and Ranpak style systems, the same job as the high speed model but built simply. At 800 KG and 2800 mm long it is the smallest and lightest folding machine we make, and it runs 470 mm wide stock at 90 m/min onto a conveyor.

Manufacturing And Quality

The machine is built at our workshop in Ruian, Zhejiang. UDEM has issued CE attestations of conformity to Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC for our honeycomb paper making machine, bag making machine and paper folding machine, referencing EN ISO 12100:2010 and EN 60204-1:2018. A demo machine is kept running in the workshop so the build can be shown and installation supported by video call.

Customization

We have engineers who develop new machine functions to customer requirements, and where the current machine cannot meet a requirement we supply a solution instead. Several machines in this range started exactly that way.

Compared With Our Other Machines

This is the base model of the three folding machines. The high speed EM-PF500B/PF800B runs at 200 m/min, adds PLC and touch screen control, an automatic lifting unwind and a 780 mm option, and weighs 2000-2500 KG. The EM-PF800A with C-fold inline feeds two rolls and C-folds them into a 2-layer paper before perforating, giving a much stronger finished pack.

Use Guide

Mount the reel on the 1 Ton unwinding stand using the 3 inch inflatable air shaft. Thread the web through the perforating and folding section and start slowly to check the fold registers on the perforation. Once the stack is forming cleanly, run at 90 m/min and band the piles as they come off the conveyor.
