How INGIANT Controls Slip Ring Quality and Service Life

A slip ring is a wear part on a machine that is expected not to wear. Contact material, test procedure and the chosen quality grade are what decide whether it reaches the target revolutions.

Step by Step

Quality and Reliability

Contact material

Precious metal ring and brush pairs, with fibre brush bundle contact structures on the data-carrying designs.

Measured values

Insulation resistance of 1000 MΩ or more at 500 VDC, insulation strength of 1500 VAC at 50 Hz for 60 s at 2 mA, and dynamic resistance variation below 10 mΩ.

Test equipment

Testing equipment and procedures verify performance and durability before units are delivered.

Quality grades

Grade S Standard, Grade I Industrial and Grade P Premium, agreed with the customer against the expected duty, with service life up to one billion revolutions.

Certification

ISO 9001, GJB9001C and GB/T 19001-2008 / ISO 9001:2008.

Warranty

12 months from date of sale, with free repair or replacement for quality problems not caused by human damage.

Support

Technical information and technical training support are provided on a regular basis.

FAQ

Quality and Reliability Questions

What service life can I expect?

It depends on the grade agreed for your application. In general a service life of up to one billion revolutions is possible.

Do slip rings need maintenance in service?

No. INGIANT slip rings are designed for reliable, maintenance-free and low-wear transmission.

What is covered by the warranty?

Quality problems arising from the product within 12 months of sale, excluding human damage, are repaired or replaced free of charge.

Start With Your Requirement Not a Model Number

Rotating speed, installation size, circuit count, voltage and current per ring, signal types, operating temperature and IP grade — send those eight and you get a design back.
