Structural timber work needs a drive that survives an impact driver and a coating that survives the weather.
What the job demands
A 250 mm timber screw carries far more installation torque than a 40 mm one, and the failure point moves to the recess. Cam-out rounds the head, the bit burns, and the screw has to be extracted rather than driven. External timber adds a second problem: plain and clear-zinc coatings will not last on a deck or a pergola, and a corroded screw stains the timber long before it loses strength.
How the range answers it
The wood screw family uses Torx recesses and external hexagon drives rather than Phillips, so the driver stays engaged under load. Material runs from carbon steel to alloy steel with grade classes to 10.9, and the finish list includes hot dip galvanising and Ruspert for exposed work alongside the usual plated options.
Supply pattern
Joinery and timber frame customers usually order a length ladder rather than a single size. Packing of 15 kg per carton and 48 cartons per solid wood pallet keeps the picking sensible when a dozen lengths ship together.
