Custom and Non-Standard Fastener Production
Standard and non-standard sizes are both made to order, so the drawing does not have to bend to a catalogue.

Where a special part is justified
Most fastener problems are solved by a catalogue item. The ones that are not usually involve a head height that fouls an adjacent part, a thread length that has to stop short of a shoulder, or a drive that has to match an existing assembly tool. Ehons quotes standard and non-standard sizes on the same terms, so a special is a lead time and a tooling question rather than a different commercial relationship.
What we need from you
A dimensioned drawing or a sample is enough to start. Where a drawing is absent, a photograph next to a scale rule plus the mating component usually settles head style, drive and thread form. Grade class, finish and any standard the part has to satisfy should be stated explicitly rather than inferred from the sample.
Materials and grades available
Carbon steel including C1022 and 1022A, alloy steel and stainless steel. Grade classes 4.6, 4.8, 5.6, 8.8 and 10.9, plus SAE J429 Gr.2, Gr.5 and Gr.8 and ASTM A307 A/B, A394 and A449. Threads in metric, UNC, UNF and BSW.
Sampling
Samples are supplied free of charge. Ask for them against the finished specification, not against an interim one, so the sample you approve is the part you receive.
Other capabilities
- Coatings and Corrosion Protection – The coating decides how long the fixing lasts. It is chosen from exposure, not from appearance.
- Bulk Supply and Lead Times – Capacity is about 2,000 tons a month across two factories, with a 500 kg minimum per item.
- Quality Control and Inspection – Inspection is built into production, transportation and selling rather than bolted on at the end.
Custom and Non-Standard Fasteners
Tell us the specification and the volume and we will confirm what is standard, what is a special and what the lead time difference is.
