What this family is for
Chipboard and concrete screws share one design idea: cut the substrate rather than wedge it apart. In particleboard that means a sharp thread and a serrated underhead that keeps the panel face from lifting; in concrete it means a hardened thread that cuts its own path in a pre-drilled hole without a plug. Ehons supplies both, including the square-drive serrated version that holds an impact driver bit without walking.
