FEVE Coated ACP

FEVE resin coating combines gloss retention with formability — a step up for demanding sign and facade applications.

Product Overview

FEVE Coated ACP At A Glance

FEVE — fluoroethylene vinyl ether, often supplied under the Lumiflon brand — is the step above PVDF. Where PVDF loses a small amount of gloss over twenty years, FEVE holds it, and the resin chemistry allows a much wider colour range including high-gloss and pearlescent effects.

It carries a 25+ year position, which is why it appears on coastal projects, in high-pollution industrial zones, on premium signature buildings and on signage that has to survive far longer than a normal sign cycle.

Key Benefits

Why Buyers Choose This Panel

01

25+ year coating position

The longest-life system we apply.

02

Gloss retention over decades

The measurable advantage over PVDF.

03

Wider colour and effect range

High-gloss and pearlescent effects that PVDF chemistry restricts.

04

Formability retained

Bends and folds without cracking the film.

Application Scenarios

Where It Is Used

Coastal and marine-air projects

Salt-laden air is the hardest test a coating faces.

High-pollution industrial zones

Acidic deposits attack lesser coatings.

Signature and landmark buildings

Where the elevation has to look new for decades.

Long-life outdoor signage

Brand signage on a 20-year estate programme.

Who It Is For

  • Architects on landmark and coastal projects
  • Facade contractors quoting a long-life specification
  • National sign programmes and brand rollouts
  • Owners costing facade life-cycle rather than first price

Problems It Solves

  • A facade that must not be repaintedLife-cycle cost, not first cost, is what FEVE addresses.
  • Coastal exposureSalt spray at grade 1 over 3000 h is the baseline; FEVE is the upgrade for the worst exposures.
  • Colour effects PVDF cannot carrySome high-gloss and pearlescent effects need FEVE chemistry.

FAQ

FEVE Coated ACP FAQ

How much more does FEVE cost than PVDF?

Around 25% more per m². The trade is a coating position of 25+ years rather than 15–20, with better gloss retention.

When is FEVE worth specifying?

Coastal projects, high-pollution industrial zones, signature buildings, and signage or facades that cannot be economically repainted or replaced.

Is FEVE available on fire-rated core?

Yes, on both B1 and A2 core.
