Plain MDF is the default panel for anything that will be painted, profiled or wrapped. There is no grain to raise, no knots to bleed and no movement direction to design around.
Because the fibre mat is uniform, the panel machines the same way on every axis, which is what makes complex door profiles economic at volume.
