Water Resistant Plywood Supplier

WBP-bonded plywood for humid interiors, wet trades and exterior-adjacent work.

About This Category

What Water Resistant Plywood Is Actually For

Water resistant plywood sits between interior commercial grades and full marine specification: a boil-resistant glue line on a standard core, for places that get wet without being submerged.

Most failures blamed on damp are glue line failures, which is why the bond class deserves more attention than the face grade on these jobs.

Water Resistant Plywood Questions

Is water resistant the same as waterproof?
No. The glue line resists water; the wood does not become waterproof. Long-term immersion needs marine specification and a coating system.
How do I test a sample?
A boil test on a small offcut is the usual trade check: the plies should stay bonded. We supply samples free for exactly this.
Can I get this with a melamine face?
Yes. A WBP core with a melamine face is a common combination for wet-area furniture.
