Film faced plywood is a structural plywood sealed on both faces with a phenolic resin film, so wet concrete releases cleanly and the panel goes straight back into the next pour.

It is specified by reuse count rather than appearance: the film weight, the glue line and the core density together decide how many cycles you get before the surface starts to lift.

How many times can a panel be reused?

Reuse depends on film weight, core density, handling and how the panel is cleaned. The old product pages quote up to 5 to 30 times when the panel is used correctly and edges are resealed after cutting.

Should I reseal cut edges?

Yes. Any cut exposes the core. Resealing the cut edge with waterproof paint is the single cheapest way to extend panel life.

Is black film better than brown?

They are different resin systems and film weights rather than a simple quality ladder. Tell us the concrete finish you need and the expected cycle count.
