Why veneer MDF instead of veneer plywood?

MDF gives a flatter, more uniform surface with no core telegraphing, and machines better on profiles. Plywood gives better screw holding and impact resistance.

Can it be carved?

Yes, that is one of its main advantages. The absence of grain direction means carving and milling behave predictably.

Which thicknesses are available?

The common range runs 9, 12, 15, 18, 21 and 30 mm, with other thicknesses produced to order.
