Stage By Stage

Where Orders Usually Break and What Is Done About It

Each stage names the problem first, because that is what the step exists to prevent, and then what actually happens.

Contract

Payment and delivery terms agreed loosely cause disputes at both ends.

Terms are stated on the order: typically 30 percent TT deposit or L/C at sight, with delivery within 15 days of receipt.

Production Scheduling

Warehousing

Goods ready early with no storage end up shipping early and being paid for early.

Multiple warehouses hold goods until the shipment is ready to consolidate.

Packing

Pallet packing or loose packing is selected per product and stated on the order.

Export

Certificates and licences are where inexperienced exporters lose time.

Import and export licences are held in house and the sales team is experienced in export business and certificate processes.
