PEEK Nut for IL SUNG Stenters
A PEEK nut is, strictly speaking, the adjustable nut on the stenter's lead rod, the part that lets the guide rail be widened. Because PEEK is self-lubricating it needs no molybdenum disulfide. It is not easy to break, it resists high temperature and corrosion, it wears slowly, and it lasts longer than the part it replaces. PEEK, polyether ether ketone, is a high-performance thermoplastic. It combines high temperature resistance, wear resistance, self-lubrication, low noise, corrosion resistance and high strength, which is why it has spread so widely through textile machinery. This is the IL SUNG reference, for Korean-built machines where the lead rod thread differs from the Monforts pattern.
