What This Machine Does
The TPX611 is a horizontal CNC boring and milling machine for medium and large parts with a lot of work in them: housings, frames and box bodies that need holes and planes machined in many operations and on more than one face. Its value is that boring milling drilling and facing all happen without the part leaving the table, so the relationship between features is set once and kept. The base castings are resin sand moulded and stress relieved twice, which is what keeps the alignment stable through years of chip load and thermal cycling. Each of the X Y and Z axes uses a servo motor driving a ball screw through a synchronous pulley, a transmission with few components to fail, while the W axis is connected directly for boring feed. Tool changes on the boring shaft are handled by a cutter cylinder. The worktable carries a 4x90 degree optical positioning device, and a 4x90 degree positioning rotary table is available as an option.
Why Buyers Choose This Machine
- Many operations on one part finished from a single clamping so feature relationships are not lost
- Twice stress relieved resin sand castings keep the machine geometry stable over its working life
- Servo driven ball screws through synchronous pulleys on X Y and Z keep the drive train simple to maintain
- Direct W axis connection puts the boring feed straight onto the spindle without extra transmission
- Cutter cylinder on the boring shaft turns a slow tool change into a short one
- 4x90 degree optical positioning device lets a heavy part be turned for the next face
- Optional positioning rotary table extends the machine to routine four-face work
Where TPX611 Horizontal CNC Milling Boring Machine Earns Its Place
Problems It Solves
- Parts with many operations accumulate error every time they are moved between machines
- Coaxial bores on opposite faces are difficult to hold without table indexing from one datum
- Untreated castings distort in service and the machine drifts out of alignment
- Complex feed transmissions introduce backlash that shows up in bore position
- Tool changes on a heavy boring bar are slow and interrupt long cycles
- Large parts are too heavy to keep re-clamping for each face
Who It Is For
- Manufacturers of gearboxes pumps and hydraulic bodies
- Heavy fabrication shops machining welded frames after stress relief
- Contract machine shops with large part capacity
- Equipment overhaul workshops re-boring worn housings
- Importers and distributors supplying boring capacity to industrial plants
Application Scenarios
- Machining hole and plane features on box-shaped parts that need many operations
- Rough and fine boring of medium and large housings
- Milling mounting planes and machining bosses on heavy frames
- Line boring features that must stay coaxial across a part
- Turn-around machining of large parts using the optical table positioning
- Batch machining of housings where the same hole pattern repeats

How It Compares With the Alternatives
| TX6213 CNC horizontal milling boring machine | Both machines share the casting treatment and servo drive approach; the choice between them comes down to the size and weight of the parts you put on the table, which we confirm against your drawings |
|---|---|
| Conventional horizontal boring machine without CNC | A conventional machine can bore accurately but the position of each hole depends on the operator; the CNC axes put the same hole pattern on every part in a batch |
| Sending large part boring out to a subcontractor | Subcontracting adds transport handling and lead time to every housing; bringing the work in on your own machine removes those from the schedule |
Running the Machine
Step 1
Set the part on the table level and clamp it against a defined datum
Step 2
Load the boring tool through the cutter cylinder on the boring shaft
Step 3
Enter or call the program for the hole and plane features on the first face
Step 4
Rough bore then measure and apply the fine boring pass to final size
Step 5
Index the table through the 4x90 degree optical positioning to reach the next face
Step 6
Verify coaxiality across faces on the first part before running the batch
Step 7
Follow the lubrication and guideway cleaning schedule in the manual

Questions About TPX611 Horizontal CNC Milling Boring Machine
What is the difference between the TPX611 and your other horizontal boring machines?
The models differ in working envelope and table capacity. Send us the size and weight of your heaviest part and the bore diameters you machine and we will confirm which model suits.
Can it machine several faces of a box part in one setup?
Yes. The worktable has a 4x90 degree optical positioning device that meets the requirement for turn-around processing of large parts without unclamping.
How stable is the machine over time?
The castings are resin sand moulded and given two stress relief treatments before machining, which is what keeps the alignment from drifting once the machine is in service.
Is a rotary table available?
Yes. A 4x90 degree positioning rotary table is offered as an option.
What tooling do I need to buy with the machine?
Send us your bore diameters and depths and the materials you cut and we will specify boring bars cutter holders and inserts with the quotation.
What power supply is required?
Tell us your voltage frequency and phase and the machine will be built for your market.
What are your payment terms and delivery arrangements?
We trade on FOB CFR and CIF. Payment is 30 percent by T/T on order and 70 percent before shipment, or an irrevocable L/C at sight. Confirm your destination port and we will quote the freight and packing.
