What This Machine Does
The TXM series is the top of a three-step family. The T series bores. The TX series is the T series with PLC control and a milling head added, so it bores and mills. The TXM series is the TX series with grinding added, so it bores, mills and grinds. That is the whole buying decision in one line, and it is why this machine is specified where a shop wants a bored cylinder, a milled surface and a ground finish without moving the workpiece between machines. It is used for boring automobile engine cylinders and the cylinder sleeves of diesel engines and compressors, and for boring other high precision holes and milling or grinding the surfaces of other workpieces. Spindle rotation and feed are stepless and freely set, and the spindle returns automatically. The table moves longitudinally and across and carries a digital readout. A complete set of boring drilling and reaming accessories is included and exchanges easily, along with a spindle fast centring device, a tool measuring device and a boring depth control device.
Why Buyers Choose This Machine
- Boring milling and grinding on one machine, so a cylinder is bored surfaced and finished in one setup
- Stepless spindle speed and feed means the operator sets what the cut needs rather than picking the nearest step
- Automatic spindle return removes a manual step at the end of every bore
- Spindle fast centring device shortens the setup on each cylinder
- Boring depth control device holds a repeatable depth across a batch
- Tool measuring device lets the operator preset the tool instead of cutting and measuring
- Complete boring drilling and reaming accessory set that exchanges easily between operations
Where Cylinder Boring & Surface Grinding Milling Machi Earns Its Place
Problems It Solves
- Moving a cylinder between a borer a mill and a grinder loses the setup reference each time
- Stepped spindle speeds force a compromise between bore diameter and material
- Boring depth drifts across a batch when there is no depth control device
- Finding the bore centre by hand on every part is slow and operator-dependent
- Presetting tools away from the machine is impossible without a tool measuring device
Who It Is For
- Engine rebuild shops that want boring milling and grinding under one machine
- Compressor and diesel engine repair shops working on cylinder sleeves
- Precision machine shops taking in high accuracy hole boring work
- Distributors equipping engine reconditioning workshops in export markets
Application Scenarios
- Boring automobile engine cylinders in a rebuild shop
- Machining cylinder sleeves for diesel engines and compressors
- Grinding a surface to finish after milling on the same setup
- Boring high precision holes in workpieces other than engine parts
- Batch cylinder work where boring depth must repeat part after part

How It Is Built and What Can Be Changed
Operations Performed
- Boring
- Milling
- Surface grinding
- Drilling
- Reaming
- Turning of the spindle under stepless control
Quality Control
- Bore diameter and cylindricity checked on a test cylinder before shipment
- Stepless spindle speed and feed verified through their full adjustment
- Boring depth control device checked for repeatability over consecutive cuts
- Table digital readout calibrated against machine movement
- Machine run in through boring milling and grinding cycles in our assembly workshop
Customisation Options
- Model selected from TXM170A TXM200A or TXM250A against your cylinder size
- T TX or TXM specification chosen by whether you need boring only, boring and milling, or boring milling and grinding

- Supply voltage frequency and operating language set to your market
How It Compares With the Alternatives
| XAIMC T series boring machines | The T series bores only; the TXM series adds the PLC and milling head of the TX series plus grinding, so surfacing and finishing stay on the same machine |
|---|---|
| XAIMC TX series boring and milling machines | The TX series bores and mills with the 320 mm milling head; the TXM series adds grinding on top of that |
| Separate borer mill and surface grinder | Three machines mean three clamping operations and three references; the TXM series keeps the cylinder in one setup through all three operations |
Running the Machine
Step 1
Clamp the cylinder or sleeve on the table and set the longitudinal and cross position from the digital readout
Step 2
Use the spindle fast centring device to find the bore centre
Step 3
Preset the boring tool on the tool measuring device
Step 4
Set the boring depth on the depth control device
Step 5
Set stepless spindle speed and feed for the diameter and material and bore the hole, letting the spindle return automatically
Step 6
Change to the milling head to face the surface
Step 7
Change to grinding to bring the surface to final finish and check before releasing the part

Questions About Cylinder Boring & Surface Grinding Milling M
What is the difference between the T TX and TXM series?
The T series bores. The TX series is the T series with PLC and a 320 mm milling head, so it bores and mills. The TXM series is the TX series with grinding added, so it bores mills and grinds.
Which of TXM170A TXM200A and TXM250A should I order?
They differ in working size. Send us the diameter length and weight of the cylinders or sleeves you machine and we will confirm the model.
Can it work on parts other than engine cylinders?
Yes. It is also used for boring other high precision holes and for surface milling and grinding of other workpieces.
Does the spindle have fixed speed steps?
No. Spindle turning and feeding are stepless and the rotating speed and feed are freely set, with automatic spindle return.
What accessories are included?
A complete set of boring drilling and reaming accessories that exchange easily, plus the spindle fast centring device tool measuring device boring depth control device and table digital readout.
What voltage will the machine be supplied for?
We set supply voltage and frequency to your market. Confirm your shop supply when you place the order.
What are your trade and payment terms?
FOB CFR and CIF. Payment is 30 percent by T/T on order and 70 percent before shipment, or an irrevocable L/C at sight.
