Reading The Formats
- 25 kg per bag, 40 bags per pallet. One tonne per pallet, the standard across most ranges.
- 10 kg per bag, 100 bags per pallet. Used on Aluminum Cut Wire Shot because aluminium is light and a 25 kg bag would be unwieldy in volume.
- Ton bag or 1 ton pallet. Available on Casting Zinc Shot Ball according to customer requirements.
- Polybag, steel box, woven bag, carton, steel drum. Used on Low Carbon Steel Balls, chosen by ball size and grade.
Storing It Before Use
- Keep bags on the pallet and off the floor. Concrete draws moisture upward.
- Store dry and covered. Carbon steel media is the most sensitive, but any media that arrives wet in a hopper causes flow problems.
- Keep alloys separated. Mixing stainless and carbon steel media defeats the reason for buying the stainless.
- Rotate stock. Use the oldest pallet first so nothing sits long enough to matter.
