The zinc shot balls are made of 0# distilled electrode position zinc with state-of-the-art technology. Grain sizes range from 0.3 mm to 5.0 mm with hardness of 45-60 HV and 80-100 HV.

Density is close to iron with low hardness, so the media does not wear the surface of metal workpieces. The flash point of zinc powder is low, which gives higher security than alumina shot, and the whitening effect on the workpiece surface is obvious.

Use Guide

  • Check the substrate first. Ferrous media on non-ferrous parts leaves iron that rusts. This is a non-ferrous safe range.
  • Match the grain size to the feature. Smaller grains give more impacts per kilogram and a finer finish. Larger grains carry more energy per impact.
  • Match the shape to the job. As-cut cuts harder and reaches corners. Conditioned is used for peening and for a matte finish.
  • Run a trial batch. Minimum order is on request, which is low enough to prove the media on your own parts before volume.
  • Store dry. Keep bags on the pallet and off the floor until the media goes into the machine.
