T6 and T7 Series Vane Pumps for Mobile Equipment
T6 and T7 series vane pumps for truck mounted and mobile hydraulics, in T6C T6D T6E T6CC T6DC T6DD T6EC T6ED T6EE and T7B frames with matched cartridge kits.

Product Overview
T6 and T7 frames are the vane pumps most often bolted to a power take off on trucks, tippers, sweepers and mobile plant. They tolerate the vibration, temperature swing and dirty environment that mobile work involves. We build single and double T6 frames from T6C through T6EE and the T7B frame, with cartridge kits, shafts, covers and seal kits available separately.

Key Benefits
- Built for power take off drive and the side load that comes with it
- Double and triple frame combinations drive several circuits from one drive
- Cartridge kits let a truck go back to work without changing the whole pump
- Same envelope as the original so the guard and pipework do not need reworking
Application Scenarios
- Tipper and hook lift bodies driven from a power take off
- Road sweepers, gully emptiers and municipal equipment
- Truck mounted cranes and aerial platforms
- Concrete mixers and agricultural trailers with hydraulic drives
Who It Is For
- Truck body builders and installers fitting hydraulic equipment
- Fleet workshops keeping municipal vehicles on the road
- Distributors serving mobile and agricultural machinery dealers
- Repair shops rebuilding power take off pumps
Problems It Solves
- A pump has failed in the field and the vehicle is off the road every day it waits
- Vibration and dirt have shortened the life of the last replacement
- Several circuits need feeding but only one power take off is available
- The original part number has been superseded and nobody can identify the replacement
Technical Features
- Cast housing sized for the loads a power take off drive puts on the shaft
- Hardened cam ring and rotor with ground vane slots
- Single, double and triple combinations available on a common shaft
- Cartridge kit replaceable without removing the pump body in most installations
- Shaft seal rated for the temperature swing mobile equipment sees
Specifications
Performance figures depend on the exact variant, so we confirm them against your model code rather than publishing a number that may not apply to your pump.
| Pump type | Balanced vane pump, fixed displacement |
|---|---|
| Configuration | Single, double and triple frames |
| Drive | Power take off or direct coupled |
| Rotation | Left or right hand, stated in the model code |
| Shaft end | Splined or keyed to the original pattern |
| Mounting | SAE or original flange pattern |
| Performance data | Confirmed against the full model code on your pump before quotation |
Materials
| Cylinder blocks | Case hardening steel with a sintered bronze running face, bonded and machined after sintering |
|---|---|
| Pistons and shoes | Case hardening steel with a bronze shoe face, swaged and hydrostatically balanced |
| Valve plates | Bearing steel or bronze faced steel depending on the frame, lapped to a mirror finish |
| Drive shafts | Alloy steel, carburised and hardened on the spline and bearing seats, ground on centres |
| Vanes and rotors | High speed tool steel and case hardening steel, hardened and ground on all working faces |
| Cam rings | Bearing quality alloy steel, through hardened then profile ground |
| Seals | Nitrile as standard, fluorocarbon or polyurethane on request for hot or fire resistant fluid duty |
Manufacturing Process
- Turning and millingBlanks are turned and milled from certified bar and forging stock on CNC machines.
- Heat treatmentCarburising, quenching, tempering or nitriding to the route the original part uses.
- GrindingBores, spline seats and running faces are ground after heat treatment so distortion is removed.
- Lapping and superfinishingValve plates, shoe faces and block faces are lapped so the pair seals under pressure.
- InspectionDimensions, hardness and surface finish are recorded against the drawing on a sampling plan.
- Assembly and testComplete pumps are built, run in and tested for efficiency, leakage and noise before packing.
Quality Control
- Incoming material certificates are checked against the grade called for on the drawing.
- Hardness is measured after heat treatment on every batch and recorded on the batch card.
- Critical bores and running faces are gauged against the drawing tolerance, not against a sample part.
- Mating parts are matched as a set so the block, shoes and valve plate run in together.
- Rebuilt pumps are bench tested for volumetric efficiency, external leakage and sound level.
- Parts are cleaned, oiled and vacuum sealed so they arrive without surface rust.
Certifications and Documentation
Supplied on request with an order. We do not claim approvals we cannot evidence.
| Material certificate | Mill certificate for the steel grade used in the batch |
|---|---|
| Hardness report | Surface and core hardness readings after heat treatment |
| Dimensional report | Measured values for the critical features named on the drawing |
| Test bench report | Flow, efficiency, leakage and sound readings for a rebuilt pump |
| Packing list and photographs | Carton contents and photographs of the packed goods before shipment |
Customization Options
- Shaft and splineKeyed, straight or splined shaft ends built to your sample or drawing.
- Port and mountingFlange, thread and mounting pattern matched to the pump already on the machine.
- Seal materialNitrile, fluorocarbon or polyurethane for hot oil, fire resistant fluid or low temperature duty.
- Rotation and displacementLeft or right hand rotation and the displacement code your circuit was set up for.

Use Guide
- Check the power take off ratio so the pump is not driven above its speed limit.
- Support the pump so the shaft carries no weight from the pipework.
- Fill the case with clean oil before the first start after fitting.
- Engage the power take off at idle and let the circuit warm before working load.
- Check the suction line and filter after the first week of service.
