Air quality varies across the site
Moisture and oil carried into a transducer will change its behaviour before it stops it working.

Dosing and reactor duty throws up spring ranges that a 3-15 psi unit will not stroke fully.

An instrument that is fine in a pump house can fail early in a chemical bay.

How The Range Addresses It
Transducers are supplied against published air quality requirements: instrument quality air, dew point below 35 F, no particle larger than three microns and maximum 1 ppm oil for the T1500, and ISO 8573-1 Class 1,2 for the PT700. Non-standard ranges are covered by the 500X twelve-line table and the 550 coding system, which reaches 0-120 psig. For documented performance the T7800 is specified to ISA S51.1 at 0.25% full scale.

What air quality do the transducers need
Instrument quality air. The T1500 datasheet asks for a dew point below 35 F, no particle larger than three microns and a maximum oil content of 1 ppm. The PT700 asks for air free from oil, dust and moisture to ISO 8573-1 Class 1,2.
We need an output range that is not 3-15 psi
The 500X table lists twelve current-input ranges from 3-9 psi to 3-120 psi, and the 550 coding system adds zero-based 0-30, 0-60 and 0-120 psig outputs.
Can you give us accuracy figures for a tender
Yes. The T7800 is specified at 0.25% full scale guaranteed and 0.15% typical to ISA S51.1, and the PT700 at linearity below 1% with repeatability below 0.2%.
