Flowserve Type Transducer
The PT 700 series is the two-wire instrument in the range. Piezoelectric microvalves draw little enough power for the device to run on a standard two-wire circuit, so no separate supply is needed, and the intrinsically safe build carries ATEX II 1 G EEx ia IIC T4.

What Goes Wrong
In a classified area, running a separate power feed to an instrument is expensive and sometimes not allowed at all. The transducer has to take its power from the same pair that carries the 4-20 mA signal, hold its accuracy against a moving air header, and come with the approval documentation the area classification demands.
How This Range Solves It
The PT 700 does all three. Current supply runs from 3.6 mA, the load is 300 ohm at 20 mA, and voltage at the terminals sits between 6 and 9.5 VDC. A silicon pressure sensor provides feedback and an internal pressure regulator removes supply air variation. The PT715 build is intrinsically safe to ATEX II 1 G EEx ia IIC T4, in an IP66 and NEMA 4X die cast aluminium housing.
Why Buyers Choose This Pattern
Two-wire operation
Signal and power share one pair, which is what keeps the device compact and robust.
ATEX intrinsic safety
ATEX II 1 G EEx ia IIC T4 on the PT715, with IP66 and NEMA 4X ingress protection.
Supply regulation built in
An internal pressure regulator eliminates variations in supply air pressure.
Stainless NAMUR mounting kit
Universal mounting to NAMUR specifications in stainless steel, with Flowact, VDI/VDE 3847 and pipe bracket options.
Who Orders From This Range
- Chemical, petrochemical and refinery process plant
- Intrinsically safe loops with no local power
- Installations built to NAMUR and VDI/VDE 3847 mounting standards
- Interfacing an electro-pneumatic positioner to a pneumatic actuator
Questions About The Flowserve Type Transducer Range
Does the PT700 need a separate power supply
No. The piezoelectric microvalve design allows connection to standard two-wire circuits, with a minimum current supply of 3.6 mA.
What is the difference between the PT700 and the PT715
The PT700 is the standard build with no approval. The PT715 is the intrinsically safe build, ATEX II 1 G EEx ia IIC T4.
What air supply and output does it handle
1.5 to 6 bar supply and 0 to 4 bar output, with air delivery capacity of 7 Nm3/h at 6 bar and consumption of 0.12 Nm3/h at 6 bar.
Can it be used in split range
Yes. The split range start is selectable at 4 mA or 12 mA, giving 4-12 mA and 12-20 mA halves.
