Energy Saving and the TwinAir System
Monforts stenters are designed with energy-saving technologies, often with integrated heat recovery systems that cut energy use during drying and heat setting, and optimised airflow systems that dry evenly while minimising heat loss.
The TwinAir system is one of the brand's key innovations. It allows independent control of the upper and lower airflows in the stenter, which evens out heat distribution and improves fabric quality and consistency. ECO Booster technology is an intelligent heat recovery system that recovers heat from the exhaust air to cut energy consumption further.
Integrated Chambers and the Horizontal Chain
Monforts stenters use modular chamber systems, so the machine can be configured to the production need, and each chamber can be controlled independently for temperature and airflow.
The machines use a horizontal chain system that keeps even tension on the fabric, which is what gives the precise width control and prevents distortion or uneven stretching. That chain is the part we are asked for most often, in several builds including PEEK bush and dust cover versions for oil-free guides.

Montex 6500 is one of the most popular models in the Monforts range, designed for high-efficiency textile processing with high-speed production, integrated heat recovery and precise width control.
Montex 8500 is the latest generation, built for maximum energy savings, advanced control systems and superior fabric finishing. Montex TwinAir carries the independent airflow control technology. Montex 8000 Allround is the versatile configuration, suitable for both woven and knitted fabrics.
What Monforts Machines Are Used For
Heat setting synthetic fabrics such as polyester, to stabilise the fabric structure and improve dimensional stability. Efficient drying after dyeing or coating with minimal energy use. Chemical finishing, applying water repellency, anti-static coatings or flame retardant treatments. And stretching and straightening with precise width control across the fabric.
The machines process a wide range of fabrics including knits, wovens and technical textiles, which is why a single Monforts frame in a contract finishing mill can need both pin plates and clips on its parts list.
The Parts List Behind the Machine
Whatever the model, the wear parts are the same family: pin plates and clips on the rail, brush wheels at the entry, chain with PEEK bush and dust cover, the PEEK nut that widens the guide rail, buffer blocks in the chain path, carbon graphite strip on an oil-free guide, and cutting blades at the exit.
