Fitting And Service Notes
- Check the shaft and housing seats for size, roundness and damage before opening the packaging.
- Push mounting force through the ring that carries the interference fit, never through the rolling elements.
- Where heat mounting is used, keep the bearing below roughly 120 degrees Celsius and never apply a flame.
- Set clearance or preload as the machine drawing specifies, then fill with the specified lubricant.
- Turn the assembly by hand and listen before the machine is started.
