BCZ-0532 A/PEX Backing Bearing features: BCZ-0532 A/PEX Backing bearings have been specially developed for cold rolling mills of the cluster type, but can also be used for other applications, such as straightening or bending machines.

- Thrust roller bearings carry a much higher axial load in the same envelope than a thrust ball bearing of the same size, and the tapered thrust design can add up to 40 percent more capacity than cylindrical and spherical bearings with the same envelope dimensions.

- Stock and produced lines are quoted separately so a shutdown can be planned around real dates.
- Non standard sizes can be made to drawing, so a fixed machine envelope is not a dead end.

Materials
GCr15, GCr15SiMn ,Chrome steel. GCr15 is the standard high carbon chrome bearing steel, and GCr15SiMn adds silicon and manganese so that larger rings harden through the section. Case carburised grades are used where shock loading is high. Cage material for this reference is brass.

Rings are formed and soft turned to the ring geometry.
Heat Treatment
Through hardening or carburising to the working hardness range.

Rolling elements and cage assembled, then preserved and packed.

Use Guide
Fitting And Service Notes
- Check the shaft and housing seats for size, roundness and damage before opening the packaging.
- Push mounting force through the ring that carries the interference fit, never through the rolling elements.
- Where heat mounting is used, keep the bearing below roughly 120 degrees Celsius and never apply a flame.
- Set clearance or preload as the machine drawing specifies, then fill with the specified lubricant.
- Turn the assembly by hand and listen before the machine is started.
