Stern tube and rudder bearings are wear parts measured at every survey, and they are always needed at the worst possible moment. We machine bronze cutless bearings, stern bushings and rudder stock sleeves to your shaft drawing and your nominated clearance, and we supply C63000 nickel aluminium bronze as bar, rod, flat bar and plate so a repair yard can cut its own.

What do you need to quote a stern bearing?
The shaft diameter, the stern tube bore, the bearing length and the running clearance you want. A sketch or the original drawing is enough.
Why nickel aluminium bronze?
C63000 keeps its strength in seawater, resists cavitation and does not seize against a steel shaft the way softer alloys can.
Can you supply just the material?
Yes. Bar, rod, flat bar and plate are supplied cut to length so your own machine shop can produce the bushing during the docking.
Are rudder pin bushings available too?
Yes, in stainless steel, aluminium or bronze, machined to the rudder stock diameter and the housing bore you supply.
What certificates are available?
ABS, BV, LR, RINA, DNV and CCS, applied for against the product on your order.
