Press Locked Grating
Grating assembled under pressure instead of welded, for a flush surface and a sharp square mesh.
Every Press Locked Grating We Publish
In a press locked panel the cross bar is forced into a notch in the bearing bar under pressure rather than welded to it. The joint is mechanical, the top surface stays flush, and the mesh keeps a clean square line that welded panels do not hold as precisely. It is the structure to specify where the grating is visible, where the top has to be smooth, or where a weld bead would interfere with what sits on it. ShengJingYe produces press locked panels in stainless steel with acid passivation and in hot-dip galvanized carbon steel.

Press Locked Grating 40x3 Stainless Steel
Stainless steel press locked panel on 40x3 bearing bar with a 10x2 cross bar, acid passivated, for platforms and visible runs with a flush top surface.

Press Locked Grating 32x3 Carbon Steel
Hot-dip galvanized carbon steel press locked panel with 32x3 bearing bar and a matching 32x3 cross bar, giving a deep square mesh.

Press Locked Grating 30x2 Stainless Steel
Light stainless press locked panel with matched 30x2 bearing and cross bars, acid passivated, for hygienic floors and light-duty visible decks.
See the specificationProblems This Family Solves
- Weld spatter and bead on a surface that has to look finished
- Welded joints as the first point of coating failure in a wet environment
- Mesh lines that wander across a large panel and show up against a straight edge
- Stainless panels bought welded, where the heat-affected zone is what corrodes first
- Architectural screens and facades where the grating is the visible material
Who It Is For
- Architects and facade contractors using grating as a visible element
- Food, beverage and chemical plants specifying stainless steel platforms
- Plant engineers replacing welded grating that failed at the joints
- Fabricators who need a flush top for equipment to sit on
How This Family Actually Looks
Photographs taken by the factory of products in this family, lit and in production. Nothing here is a rendering of something that does not exist.

Why Buyers Choose This Range
- Mechanically locked joint, no weld bead and no weld heat on the bar
- Flush top surface across the whole panel
- Stainless steel 40x3 and 30x2 sections, acid passivated, and carbon steel 32x3 hot-dip galvanized
- Square mesh geometry held across the panel, which is what makes a run of panels line up
- Same plant handles framing, cut-outs and edge detail
Typical Application Scenarios
- Walkways and platforms inside processing plants
- Architectural screens, balustrade infill and sun shading
- Wet areas where stainless steel is specified for cleaning rather than for strength
- Equipment decks where a flush surface is needed

Stainless Channel Covers In A Finished Floor
An interior floor channel where the covers are lifted for cleaning, the floor is washed down, and the slab left very little depth for the grating.

A Yard Trench Run Covered In Galvanized Grating
A long channel crossing a route that vehicles use, where a continuous run of covers has to sit flush with the concrete and still be liftable for clearing grit out of the channel.
