Fire Pit Balls

Every fire pit ball is designed and cut by hand, so each one is a unique piece. Traditional, western and fully customised styles are available.

Each ball is assembled from two of our carbon steel hemispheres in 5mm or 6mm steel. We weld them together and clean the sphere of oil and debris. Our artist draws the scene on the ball by hand, we plasma cut it, then grind off the welds and burrs and apply heat resistant paint.

Standard designs follow one of our themes. Customised balls come out of a consultation with you. Each drawing develops at its own pace, and the cutting process itself adds to the drawing as the look of the individual ball emerges. The finished ball can be painted with heat proof paint or left to weather into a natural rust patina, which takes many decades to affect the steel and looks organic in an appealing industrial way.
