Overview
Hollow brass balls carry a high reflective gold accent. They suit jewellery, lampshades, sculpture, church roof finials and floating balls, and the warm tone reads very differently from steel in the same shape.
Two forming routes cover the range: stamping press for the small and mid sizes with an invisible seam, and water pressuring for anything above ∅200mm at any custom diameter.
Production Methods
The forming route decides the size range, the wall thickness and whether the seam ever shows.
Stamping press
The brass sheet is shaped in a mould, two hemispheres are welded, the seam is ground and the ball is mirror polished. Drilling and tapping are available on request.

Water pressuring
Sheet is developed, bent into leaf shapes, welded into a closed spherical cube and formed under water pressure into a true sphere, then ground and mirror polished.

Problems It Solves
- Brass hemispheres bought loose rarely close cleanly. We weld, grind and polish the sphere as one part.
- Lampshade spheres need a wiring aperture. Standard press hole moulds cover ∅19mm to ∅50mm without tooling cost.
- Small brass balls usually have a minimum. Sizes under 200mm carry an MOQ, for example ∅100mm at 100 pieces.

Hollow Brass Balls FAQ
What is the minimum order for small brass balls?
Sizes under 200mm (8 inch) carry a minimum. As an example, ∅100mm (4 inch) has an MOQ of 100 pieces. Larger sizes have no minimum.
Can I get the balls unpolished?
Yes. Raw finished brass is available if you intend to patinate or lacquer the surface yourself.
Do you make copper as well as brass?
Yes, hollow copper balls are made the same way, and copper lampshade balls are a regular item.
Can you tap a thread for a hanging rod?
Yes, metric and unified threads are tapped to your drawing.
