Overview
Brass hemispheres carry a high reflective accent that suits brass door knockers, lampshades, jewellery, sculpture and church roof work.
Stamping press shapes the sheet in a die, then the stamped edge is trimmed to a precise hemispherical shape. Trimming leaves the edge smooth without burrs, and the half ball is then mirror polished or left raw. Water pressuring covers everything above ∅200mm at any size, with the seam ground and polished out.
Production Methods
The forming route decides the size range, the wall thickness and whether the seam ever shows.
Stamping press
Sheet is shaped in a die, the stamped edge is cut to a precise hemispherical shape and trimmed smooth, then mirror polished or left raw.
