When your hazard analysis includes glass, stone, bone or hard plastic, or when foil packaging blocks metal detection. If neither applies, a metal detector is cheaper and often better.
Which model suits a CCP
The AVG-FX-S, which has an integrated rejector, a lockable key-access bin and logs every reject with image, timestamp and operator ID.
Can we test in a lab first
Yes. The AVG-FX-Mini sits on a QC bench and runs the same detection algorithm as the production-line models.
What sensitivity do these reach
0.3 mm or better for ferrous on the Mini, FX-400 and FX-S; 0.4 mm Fe and 0.6 mm SUS on the wide-belt FX-600.
Can they be washed down
Housings are SUS304 rated IP54 to IP66 depending on model, with the FX-400 specified as CIP compatible.
