Requirement
Buyers usually start from a product category rather than a throughput figure, which leads to over-specified gates and under-specified lanes.
We ask for the arrival rate, the entrance dimensions and what you actually need to exclude, then work backwards to the equipment.
Lane Layout
An alarm with nowhere to send the person turns a 1,200 person per hour gate into a 200 person per hour queue.
We plan the secondary check position and the wand that supports it, so a gate alarm has somewhere to go.
Equipment Selection
Zone counts, tunnel sizes and penetration figures are hard to compare between suppliers.
We quote the specific model with its published figures, and say plainly where a cheaper model would do the same job.
Compliance
Radiation figures, certification references and import rules differ by market and stall a project late.
We confirm what documentation the factory can actually supply for your destination before you place the order.
Installation
Floor loading, access width and power capacity are usually discovered on delivery day.
We check building drawings against unit weight, packed dimensions and power draw first.
Commissioning
A gate set to factory defaults alarms on everything and gets turned down until it detects nothing.
Sensitivity is set per zone against the items you genuinely need to pass, and the settings are locked where the model allows.
Operator Training
Screener performance varies between shifts and cannot be measured.
We specify models with Threat Image Projection where competence must be evidenced, and supply training and testing aids.
Service
A checkpoint with one gate has no redundancy when that gate fails.
Spare parts are listed with the order, and field service technicians cover emergency repair and routine maintenance.

Where do most checkpoint designs go wrong
In the alarm handling. Sites specify a high-throughput gate and then have no defined place to take the people it alarms on, so the queue forms behind the secondary check instead.
Should we buy the highest zone count available
Only if you need that resolution. More zones tell you more precisely where the item is; they do not detect more. We will say when a lower count is the right answer.
How long does commissioning take
It depends on how many items you need the gate to pass. Send us your exclusion list and we will give you a realistic estimate.
Can you supply a complete checkpoint rather than machines
Yes. Send the lane layout and throughput and we will propose gate, scanner, wand and training as one set.
Do you handle import and radiation approvals
We confirm what the factory can document. The approval itself is between you and your national regulator, and we will not pretend otherwise.
