Installing It Without Losing Performance

  • Do not force FTP Cat6 Blue through a route. Stretching the conductors changes the twist geometry permanently, and the damage is invisible until the tester finds it.
  • Every millimetre of untwisted conductor at a FTP Cat6 Blue termination is unprotected cable. Strip back only as far as the contact block actually needs.
  • Tight bends deform the pairs inside FTP Cat6 Blue and change impedance at that point. The panel end is where this is most often violated.
