Drywall Screw Hi-Lo Thread Magni Coated
Hi-Lo thread drywall screw with a Magni coating for board onto light-gauge steel.
A hi-lo thread alternates a tall thread and a short one along the same shank. The tall thread bites the board and the short one keeps the core strong, so the screw holds in thin steel and in plasterboard at the same time without the coarse thread simply spinning.
This version carries a Magni coating. That is a multi-layer applied system rather than electroplating, which matters where the screw sits in a partition that will see humidity or where a plated screw would bleed rust through the board finish.
