What The Customer Needed
The buyer was replacing converters across a group of valves that had been fitted at different times. Units drawn from different production runs had shown different calibration behaviour, which made loop tuning a per-valve job instead of a one-off.
How It Was Built
The whole quantity was built in a single run, from one batch of parts, and calibrated consecutively on the same bench against the same standard current generator and 0.1 class pressure gauge.
What The Photographs Show
The batch photographs show the units laid out on the bench with their signal leads connected for calibration. Zero is set at 4 mA against 20 kPa and span at 20 mA against 100 kPa, then the two points are repeated until both hold.
How It Finished
One consistent batch, calibrated on one bench, so the loops could be tuned once and the settings reused across the group.
