What the machine contains
A TMK food waste machine has an in-built shredder, a composting tank with a humidity sensor, a heater, mixing blades, a moisture control system and an air ventilation system.
The cycle
The shredder reduces the waste and transfers it to the composting tank, where an artificial atmosphere for rapid decomposition is created. A composting enzyme or sawdust mixture decomposes the organic waste into compost within 24 hours, giving 85–90% volume reduction. TMK states the entire process is natural and biological, handling all kinds of organic waste within 24–48 hours.
Controls and safety
A digital HMI display with a PLC control system runs the machine. An emergency stop button and a machine overload function are included, along with in-built temperature management and a power saving function to reduce consumption.
Operating conditions
Operation is noiseless and odourless, fully automatic with no labour required after the waste is fed in, and no harmful gas is released during operation.
