A storage feeder holds a reserve of yarn on a drum and releases it at even tension. A positive feeder drives a fixed length of yarn per machine revolution. Many feeders do both, which is why the same unit is often called a positive storage feeder.
Can I mix feeder models on one machine?
It is better not to. Different feeder models can deliver slightly different rates at the same belt speed, and that difference lands in the fabric as shading.
Do feeders need a special belt?
