A 20ft container is a large commitment on one species. Loading several species into one container lets a buyer test a range or balance a season without holding dead stock.

Range Selection
Problem — A trial order on one species tells you little about the range.
Seabass, barramundi, red drum fish, tilapia, red tilapia, brown croaker, snakehead and channel catfish can all be loaded together from one plant.
Volume Planning
Problem — Minimum order quantities block smaller programmes.
Our MOQ is 1 x 20ft FCL in total rather than per species, which is typically 10 to 12 tons, or 8 to 10 tons on red tilapia.
Production Scheduling
Problem — Species have different production windows.
We schedule the species inside one production run so the whole container ships together rather than waiting on the slowest item.
Packing
Problem — Mixed loads create receiving errors at destination.
Each species is packed and labelled separately with its own specification on the carton, and the packing list itemises the load.
Documentation
Problem — A mixed load can complicate customs clearance.
One set of export documents covers the container, issued against plant code 4404/02003.
Delivery
Problem — Lead times differ across species.
Standard lead time on a mixed container is 25 to 30 days after order confirmation.
