Frozen Seabass (Lateolabrax japonicus)
Farm raised Japanese seabass from Baijiao Zhuhai. Whole round GGS and boneless fillets, IQF, EU plant 4404/02003, 20 MT per day fillet capacity.
What This Product Is
Seabass (Lateolabrax japonicus), sold internationally as Japanese seabass, Suzuki or sea perch, is the core species of our factory. We are located in Baijiao, Doumen District, Zhuhai, the region that supplies over 80% of China's sea bass production from more than 50,000 acres of farming area and an annual output of nearly 160,000 MT. Live fish move from the farm to our processing line within 10 to 30 hours, which is the single biggest reason our fillets hold firm texture on arrival.

Why Buyers Choose This Product
Brackish water from the Pearl River system and the South China Sea gives a clean flavour with no muddy note
Live haul of 10 to 30 hours from pond to line keeps raw material fresh before freezing
Processing capacity of 20 MT per day on IQF fillets and 60 MT per day on whole round and GGS supports annual contracts
EU approved plant code 4404/02003 plus FDA registration and Russian veterinary approval opens most export markets from one supplier
Glazing is set to your specification between 5% and 25% so landed cost per kilo of net fish is predictable

How It Compares With Other Options
| European seabass (Dicentrarchus labrax) | Asian seabass from Zhuhai lands at a lower cost per kilo and is available in larger fillet sizes, while European seabass is mostly traded in small whole fish grades |
|---|---|
| Barramundi (Lates calcarifer) | Barramundi grows to larger fillet weights and suits portioned retail packs, while Lateolabrax japonicus holds a finer flake that suits whole fish steaming |
| Wild caught whitefish | Farm raised seabass gives predictable size grading and year round volume that wild landings cannot guarantee |
