What is the difference between blue, white and colour zinc?
They are passivate layers over the same zinc coat. The passivate changes the corrosion life and the appearance; colour (yellow) passivate has traditionally been the most protective of the three.
Does zinc plating affect a high tensile bolt?
It can — electroplating high strength steel introduces a hydrogen embrittlement risk that has to be managed. Tell us the grade so the right process is used.
