What this group is for
Drywall screws look like the simplest item in the catalogue and cause more site problems than most. Almost all of them come down to two choices: the thread form against the substrate, and the head against the board facing.
- Fine thread into light gauge steel stud, coarse thread into timber
- Hi-low: 30° high thread, 60° low thread at half height — lower torque, higher pull-out
- Bugle head applies indented pressure and does not tear the facing
