What this sector asks of a fastener
Construction is where the whole catalogue meets at once: a self drilling screw through profiled sheet into purlin, a bonded EPDM washer to seal the penetration, a fine thread drywall screw into the stud behind it and a grade 8.8 bolt holding the frame together. The failure mode is almost never the screw body — it is a point that cannot cut the section, a head that pulls through thin gauge, or a bright zinc finish specified for an exposure it was never going to survive.
