What this sector asks of a fastener
Communication hardware spends its whole life outdoors and is expensive to revisit. That pushes the specification towards stainless and towards the high-performance coatings — dacromet, Ruspert and Xylan — rather than the bright zinc that is adequate indoors. Where the fixing is on a mast, the salt spray figure is the number worth arguing about.
