Materials

  • Thin PVC flame-retardant film
  • PVC film with premium plasticizer on the new energy build
  • High-performance pressure-sensitive adhesive

Certifications

  • ROHS 2002/95/EC six-item standard on the new energy vehicle build

Key Benefits

  • Self-extinguishing film for insulation work in fire-prone plant areas
  • Dielectric strength of at least 40 KV/mm and breakdown voltage of at least 5000 V on both thicknesses
  • Peel strength 1.8 N/cm holds the wrap in place through vibration
  • New-energy vehicle build rated 85 degrees C with a 35 m roll for line use
  • 24 month shelf life on all builds

Application Scenarios And Who It Is For

Application Scenarios

  • Insulation of wire or cable connections at 80 degrees C or below and 600 V or below
  • Phase colour identification and protective sheathing
  • Wire bundling in fire-prone environments
  • Harness winding and bundling on new energy vehicles

Who It Is For

  • Electrical contractors working to flame-retardant specifications
  • New energy vehicle harness manufacturers
  • Panel builders and switchgear assemblers
  • Industrial distributors stocking electrical consumables

Problems It Solves

  • Standard tape feeding a fire along a cable route
  • Wraps that peel back on vibrating assemblies
  • Restricted-substance and temperature requirements on EV harness programmes
  • Managing several suppliers for flame-retardant and standard tape

Comparison With Other Products

Compared WithWhy This Product
PVC Wiring TapeThe flame-retardant build is thicker and stronger where fire performance matters more than bundle diameter
Self-Adhesive Fireproof Wrapping TapeThis tape insulates conductors, while the fireproof wrap chars to block flame spread along a cable sheath

Use Guide

  • Clean the surface to remove grease dust and moisture before wrapping
  • Wrap semi-overlapping with sufficient tension for a uniform layer
  • Do not over-stretch the last layer to avoid curling
  • Keep within the stated voltage and temperature scope

Questions Buyers Ask

PVC Flame Retardant Electrical Tape FAQ
