How do I tell which union standard my plant uses
Measure the nut thread diameter and pitch and the liner seat profile, and send us a photo with a rule in frame. We identify DIN 11851, DIN 11864, SMS, RJT and IDF from that and confirm before quoting.
Do unions ship with gaskets
Complete sets include the gasket. State the media and CIP temperature so we fit EPDM, silicone, PTFE or Viton rather than a default.
What is the difference between DIN 11851 and DIN 11864
DIN 11864 is the aseptic series with a seal geometry that leaves no crevice at the joint, intended for pharmaceutical and aseptic duty. DIN 11851 is the general hygienic union widely used in food and dairy plants.
