Product Overview

What This Block Is And Why It Exists

This is the full bra capability rather than a single style. Push up, one piece moulded, disposable, plain dyed, printed, invisible, maternity, cup, convertible strap and sport bra constructions all run through the partner base.

A bra is an assembly, not a cut and sew garment. Cup, wire, hook and eye, ring, slider and strap each come from separate suppliers with separate lead times, and a bra programme is managed around those components.

Fabric options run from cotton and modal through nylon and polyester spandex to merino wool blends.

Key Benefits

  • Ten bra constructions available through one point of contact.
  • Component sourcing managed against your approved samples.
  • Fabric platform shared with the panty range for matched sets.
  • Partner mills audited to BSCI, SA8000, ICS, GOTS, Sedex and OEKO-TEX Standard 100.

Application Scenarios

Where This Block Is Used

  • Full intimates ranges
  • Maternity and wellness ranges
  • Sport and activewear brands
  • Chain retail bra programmes

Who It Is For

  • Brands who need several bra constructions from one supply chain.
  • Buyers building matched bra and panty sets.
  • Maternity and sport labels needing specific constructions.
  • Retailers running a bra programme across a full size run.

Problems It Solves

  • Bra programmes are late because of components, not because of sewing capacity.
  • Different constructions get placed with different factories and never match on colour.
  • Cup moulds are tooling, so a late shape change resets the whole timeline.
  • A single size sample tells you almost nothing about how a bra grades.

Materials

Fabric Platform

All blocks run on the same fabric platform, which is what lets a mixed range share one lab dip round and one colour card. Colour is approved on physical lab dips, fabric swatches and print strike offs.

Fabric colour card with Pantone references

Colour card and Pantone references used at lab dip approval.

95% cotton / 5% spandexThe default for briefs, trunks and boxer briefs. Soft hand feel, good recovery, easy to print and dye.
95% modal / 5% spandexCooler and more fluid than cotton. Popular for womens panties and premium mens ranges.
95% bamboo / 5% spandexMarketed as a sustainable option with a very smooth surface and good moisture handling.
90% nylon / 10% spandexHigher stretch and recovery. Used for seamless bonded styles and sport ranges.
95% polyester / 5% spandexThe base for sublimation printing, which needs a polyester rich surface to hold the ink.
Merino wool blendsAvailable for bra and base layer programmes where thermal performance is required.

Manufacturing Process

How This Product Is Made

01

Specification review

The tech pack is read before quoting - measurement chart, drawing, artwork, labels, packaging and trims.

02

Mill selection

The style is matched to a mill in the cluster that produces that construction, with the audit status your buyer requires.

03

Material approval

Lab dips, fabric swatches and print strike offs sent physically for approval.

04

Sampling

Pre production sample, label sample, packaging sample and accessory samples confirmed.

05

Bulk production

Around 50 to 60 days, with inline inspection running through the cut.

06

Release

Final inspection to AQL, shipment sample to you, then customs clearance and freight.

Quality Control

Inspection And Testing On This Product

Inline inspection runs during production so mistakes and delays are removed while they can still be fixed. Final inspection follows the AQL standard and covers fabric weight, fabric colours, print, sizes, labels and packaging. A shipment sample is sent so you can check the finished goods directly.

Use Guide

How To Brief This Product Properly

  • 1Decide the construction before anything else - it determines the component list.
  • 2Front load the component approvals, since they set the lead time.
  • 3Send a full measurement sheet, not a single sample size.
  • 4Approve hardware colour on the same lab dip card as the fabric.
  • 5If you want matched sets, brief the panty block at the same time.

Packaging Options

  • Printed paper box
  • Paper card with hanger hook
  • Polybag

Questions

Product FAQ

Which bra constructions do you cover?
Push up, one piece moulded, disposable, plain dyed, printed, invisible, maternity, cup, convertible strap and sport bra.
Why are bra lead times longer?
Components. Cups, wires, hooks, rings and sliders come from separate suppliers, and one late trim holds the entire cut.
Can you match hardware to the fabric colour?
It has to be dyed to the same lab dip and approved on the same card. Matching hardware to fabric from separate references almost never works.
What size run can you produce?
The run comes from your measurement sheet. The old reference charts ran 34 to 46 across A to C cups, but that is a reference point, not a house block.
What is the minimum quantity?
300 pcs per style per colour. Bra economics improve with volume faster than panties do, because of the tooling and components.
