Store clips in dry conditions and avoid leaving them in damp packaging. Zinc protects sacrificially and is consumed fastest exactly where moisture is trapped.

Every batch follows the same seven step route, with tensile testing and magnetic powder flaw detection carried out before packing.
Available in Stainless steel, Spring steel, Carbon steel, 65Mn, Music wire, in wire from 0.1-8 mm, with any of our nine surface finishing routes. Geometry, end treatment and finish are all specified per order.

Against stainless and nickel clips of the same geometry, zinc plated spring steel is the value option and is entirely adequate wherever the environment stays dry.
Outdoors, in washdown areas, in condensation, or anywhere the clip is regularly wetted. Then specify galvanising or stainless.
Not meaningfully, though a heavy coating can affect fit in a tight housing. It is accounted for at design.
