Marine sea suction valve for high and low sea chests, with published flow figures from DN80 to DN500.
What this product does
A ship's main engine is cooled by seawater, which is why she carries both a high and a low sea suction: the low chest for deep water, the high chest for shallow or icy conditions where the low one would draw mud or ice. This valve is the isolation between the sea chest and the cooling system. Published capacities run from DN80 through DN100 at 16.8, DN150 at 30, DN250 at 68.4, DN350 at 167 up to DN500 at 397.
