What is included in supplier selection and vetting?
Songdom maintains a vetted pool of factory suppliers with differentiated manufacturing expertise. For airport work we hold at least three manufacturing suppliers in every product category.
Is this available on its own or only as part of a full package?
It can be run on its own, though most projects take it as part of the full sourcing programme so that the inspection and delivery stages connect to the same supplier relationship.
How early should we involve you?
At specification stage. The cheapest quality and cost decisions are made during drawing review, before anything is tooled or released to production.
How do you report progress?
Through the inspection record at each gate, with photographs and measurements taken at the factory as the production run proceeds.
What does it cost?
It is quoted per project, because the scope depends on the number of categories, the number of factories and the duration of the production programme.
