The interior needed a glowing outline rather than a lit face, in a space where a frontlit letter would have read as a light fitting.

The front is metal and opaque so no light passes through it. The back is 20, 25 or 30mm solid translucent white acrylic, cut out inside to hold high quality LED. The light travels through the acrylic and escapes along the edge of the letter only.
