Product Overview
A 30 mm bearing bar at 5 mm thick is deliberately over-thick for its depth, because in a floor channel the depth available is fixed by the slab and the strength has to come from somewhere else. The 8 mm round cross bar leaves the mesh open enough to flush clean, which is the whole reason a food floor has a channel in the first place. Acid passivation after fabrication means the cut ends where each panel meets the next are protected as well as the faces, and that junction is exactly where cheaper stainless channel covers start to rust.
