Not as drawn. Concrete moves, frames get knocked during the pour, and a channel that was specified at 300 mm is frequently not 300 mm along its whole length. Measure at several points and send the smallest.

Send The Frame Detail

Whether the panel sits on a cast-in angle, on a rebate, or directly on the concrete changes the panel size, the banding and the clearance. A photograph of the frame answers this faster than a description.

Say What Crosses It

Pedestrians, hand trolleys, forklifts with an axle load, or road vehicles. This decides the bearing bar depth and it is the single most common omission in an enquiry.

Decide The Panel Length By The Lift

Channel covers get lifted for cleaning. If they are too heavy for the people who have to lift them, they stop being lifted and the channel stops being cleaned. Say who lifts them and how often.

Name The Environment

Rain and grit, or washdown chemicals and chlorides. That decides galvanized carbon steel against stainless steel with passivation, and it decides it before price does.
